NEWSLETTER TEAM NEWSLETTER TEAM CONTACT: PURPOSE: This group has the responsibility of preparing and publishing monthly issues of The Parkway Spire each year. ACTIVITIES/OPPORTUNITIES: Tasks include reception of submissions, photography, copy editing, layout, proofreading, and discussions with the printer. Volunteers are needed for, proofreading, photography, advertising, running the paper through the church printer, readying The Parkway Spire for mailing which includes folding, and sticking on address labels. MEETINGS: We try to meet at least once a quarter. Most of the work is done electronically and communication is by email or phone, especially for one week each month as the next issue is being prepared. Newsletter Labellers are a separate group working closely with the office staff. CONTACT: church office, 613-725-1066 PURPOSE/ACTIVITIES/OPPORTUNITIES: A small group meets on the Thursday before the last Sunday of the month, from 1-3pm (approximately), to label and assemble in alphabetical order, within Postal Code groups, The Parkway Spire newsletter. The newsletters are then ready to be picked up at Sunday Service on the following Sunday and the remaining ones mailed on Monday. Although this group has to be serious about doing a good job, they take time out to have tea and continual conversation(s)!
