The most important part of the event is the socializing - no matter how you peel the apple!

Peeling apples is really simple with an automatic peeler from Lee Valley . . . it is as easy as apple pie!

Pie making is an open event held monthly. Even those who have never made a pie can help out and learn the ropes.

Plan to attend a concert at Cleary Hall. You will be delighted!

After the apples are cored and sliced they are carefully placed in the pie trying to get as many pieces in as possible.
Meanwhile there seems to be an endless supply of pastry as the bakers continue to roll out the dough for the crust.
The bottom crust is in place awaiting only a few more tucks to make it fit the pie pan - and then a bit of trimming at the edges.
Ah yes. . . .then there is the special recipe full of ancient seasonings. Sorry, we can not give the recipe away - you will have to come and buy a pie (for the Steinway fund!) and guess for yourself.
Fluting the edges seals the juices in tight for a just soooo yummmmy apple pie!
Well . . . blueberry pies are ok too!

And then there is the personal creative touch. What would want to say on the top of a pie?
