Unitarianism and Unitarian Universalism:
a self-study guide

This self-study guide is designed for people who have gotten involved in a local congregation and want more information, for people who are considering involvement or membership in a Unitarian or Unitarian Universalist congregation, and for curious people of any religious inclination who wish to follow a self-guided programme of study regarding Unitarianism and Universalism. It is a perpetual work-in-progress, and suggestions for additional materials are welcome. If your congregation has a basic introductory course, you would probably do best to do that first.

To begin you have two choices: the units are arranged in order in a guided tour format, or you can go to the menu by subject and work through it more randomly. Either way will work, although later stops on the guided tour assume knowledge of the earlier ones. If you are quite new to Unitarian Universalism, you might also appreciate this note on language.

Members and friends of First Unitarian Congregation of Ottawa are urged to see this list of recommendations. Those people completing the requirements, culminating with an interview with one of the congregation's ministers, will receive recognition honouring a commitment to ongoing education and growth in Unitarian Universalism.
